Josh has his roots stretched deep in small town Idaho. From his upbringing in a rural, Christian family he developed a strong value for hard work and high moral standards. In 2004, he graduated

suma cum laude from the University of Idaho with a bachelors in mechanical engineering. Josh and Jessica Roy married in 2003 in Twin Falls, Idaho. After graduation, they spent 13 years in Western Washington where Jessica completed a bachelors in nursing while Josh established a career in industrial manufacturing and maintenance at Weyerhaeuser (a pulp and paper mill). With four children they returned to Idaho in 2018 in search of their rural roots and an improved culture for family life. Here, Josh took his position at Clear Water Paper (another pulp and paper mill). In 2025, Josh completed an MBA through Washington State University. The Roy children are now ages 8-17 with college plans in progress for hometown Idaho colleges.
